LIFE SAVER CPR AWARENESS

This is an easy and short course designed to give participants an awareness of First Aid and covers the basics of adult and infant resuscitation.

This is a non-accredited course that has no formal assessments.

Course Duration: 2 hours

LIFE SAVER CPR COMPETENCY

This hands-on course provides the participants with life saving skills of adult, child, and infant hands CPR which include choking. use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Course Duration: 4 hours

Course Content:

  • Chain of survival
  • Emergency action principals
  • Hands-CPR technique for adult, child, and infant
  • Breathing emergencies
  • Reporting procedures

Certificate:

Upon completion of this course, participants receive a certificate of competence that is valid for two years.

 

HEARTSAVER CPR AED

This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.

Course Duration: 3 hours

Course Content:

  • Key changes reflecting the new science from the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
  • Adult, Child, Infant CPR
  • AED use

Certificate:

Upon completion of this course, students receive an American Heart Association Heart saver CPR AED Course Completion Card that is valid for two years.

 

CHILDCARE FIRST AID

This course will qualify participants to perform basic life support skill for child and infant, and to provide knowledge and skills carrying out first aid acre for injuries and illnesses in children at home, at school, or at playground.

Course Duration: 6 hours

Course Content:

  • Pediatric Chain of Survival
  • Child and Infant CPR
  • Recovery position for unconcious child and infant
  • Breathing difficulties including choking
  • Controlling bleeding, swelling, and infection
  • Altered and loss of consciousness
  • Allergic reaction

  • Establish and manage first aid kit

Certificate:

Upon completion of this course, participants receive a certificate of competence that is valid for two years.

 

 

BASIC FIRST AID

This course will teach participants everyday first aid skills which are valuable when accidents happen around home and office. The course focuses on key life-saving skills, provides opportunity to learn first aid for the most common injuries and emergency medical stuations, and is under pinned by relevant theory.

Course Duration: 8 hours

Course Content:

  • Chain of survival
  • Emergency action principles
  • Casualty assessment
  • Adult 1-rescuer CPR
  • Child and infant CPR
  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Treatment of a choking casualty
  • Treatment of wounds and bleeding
  • Level 1 bandaging techniques
  • Treatment of burns
  • Basic manual lifting
  • Reporting procedures

Certificate:

Upon completion of this course, students receive a certificate of competence that is valid for two years.

 

INTERMEDIATE FIRST AID

This cource covers all common injuries and illness that can occur in the standard office workplace and designed to meet worksafe requirement as outlined in most Health, Safety, and Environment department. This course will quality participants to perform basic life support skills including CPR, management of fractures, strains, sprains, burns plus more. This course is ideal for First Aid Officer in office or site environment.

Course Duration: 2 days

  • Adult 1 and 2 rescuers CPR
  • Child and infant CPR
  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Treatment of choking casualty
  • Treatment of wounds and bleeding

  • Treatment of sudden illness
  • Environmental emergencies
  • Musculoskeletal injuries
  • Spinal injuries
  • Chest injuries
  • Level 1 & 2 bandaging techniques
  • Moving and handling casualties
  • Reporting procedures

Certificate:

Upon completion of this course, students receive a certificate of competence that is valid for two years. We recommend that CPR skills are refreshed every 12 months.

 

ADVANCED FIRST AID

This is a combined program of HeartSaver First Aid CPR AED from American Heart Association and additional modules that provides participants with knowledge and skills on comprehensive emergency care for common injuries and illnesses that can occur in the remote workplace.

Course Duration: 3 days

OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID

This course is designed for workers who are responsible for work place occupational health ad safety issues and specially deal with injuries accidents and illnesses that occur in the work place. The participants will be equipped with the skills to work within and industrial environment, using relevant first aid equipment and provides information on local and international legislation, as it applies to work place first aid.

Course Duration: 4 days
