I was in the pool when I heard it. What I at first thought was children joyfully playing and screaming turned out to be so different. My wife then alerted to the fact that something was in fact wrong. I got out of the pool and I saw a man running off with what I thought at the time as possibly a child with an epileptic seizure as his limbs were flailing in an unnatural way.
I asked some people what had happened and they told me they had found the boy in the pool face down. His face, they said, was blue.

It was a long and horrible night. My Mom was a victim in a traffic accident at 4 p.m. and a passerby brought her to a hospital. She had a severe head injury and had lost consciousness. It took my family about 2 hours after the incident to get to the hospital. She looked terrible. The hospital was far from hygienic, the doctors were slow, and it didn't even have the basic facilities nor the equipment of a standard emergency room. The x-ray and CT Scan machines were not working. Mom was simply left lying there

Just completed a most enjoyable training experience with Edward in Jakarta. It was well worth the effort in time and money and I'll be recommending the course to others. He put a lot of effort and enthusiasm into it. The hospital attachment in the critical care unit was outstanding with the chance to see decompensating shock, irreversible shock and cardiac failure first hand. Dr Ugi was so helpful and so professional - even when his hands were moving fast to save life his demeanor was calm and controlled - quite inspirational. Worthy to of comment was all the good stuff from Medic One and the provision of demo victims. That was a super course, Ron. I'm grateful to you for mounting it.
